Villa Ambra
Amber light, on the marina.
Villa Ambra is a two-level waterfront villa at Marina Gates, Dubai Marina, designed and built end-to-end by K4 Group. Its name comes from the cascade of amber glass that falls through the double-height hall, catching the sun from the marina all day.
Around it, the palette is warm and tactile: smoked oak joinery, honed stone, textured plaster and bronze-tinted glass. Folding glass doors open the living room onto a landscaped terrace, with the yachts and towers of the marina just beyond.

Open to the terrace, open to the marina.
A smoked oak media wall with a lit stone shelf faces a deep sectional sofa, with a grand piano by the glass. Folding doors open the full width of the room onto a planted terrace, and amber glass petals drift across the plaster wall above the dining table.
Smoked oak and honed stone.
A full wall of smoked oak hides the appliances, with integrated ovens and a coffee station set into it. The stone waterfall island seats four under a slim linear pendant, and the lit wine store under the stair sits just beside it.

A stair that holds the cellar.
The stair is wrapped in smoked oak and bronze-tinted glass, with a lit line tracing its climb. Beneath it, a made-to-measure wine store holds racks, cradles and drawers, with an arched nook built in for the family dog.
Waking up on the water.
A curved, cove-lit ceiling sits over a round rug and a low upholstered bed against a textured plaster wall. Full-height glazing frames the yachts and the marina towers, with a black lacquered media wall lit along its base.
04, Master · SuiteBlack panels, soft light.
A full-length black panelled wall holds the screen, a floating vanity and a low lit console. Linen and taupe tones soften the room, and the window looks straight down onto the boats in the marina.
05, Bedroom · Marina view
A wardrobe lit like a boutique.
Smoked oak shelving lines three walls, every shelf and rail lit along its edge. A black island with a glass top holds drawers for accessories, under a floating ring pendant.
Oak, stone and focus.
Lit oak shelving runs floor to ceiling beside an oak-framed media wall on a grey stone plinth. A solid oak desk sits under a linear crystal pendant, for work and a quiet evening alike.
